What makes reading poetry or speaking words different from "Spoken Word"? One key element is feeling. Spoken Word is about bringing poetry to life through emphasis, intonation, inflection...for lack of a better word - performance! Striving to help the listener feel how you felt writing your piece. Attempting to transport the listener to another headspace so they don't just hear your words but become part of the story. Once we get into each others heads we might find out that we have more in common than we thought.
About the MC: Cujo is a spoken word/hip-hop artist who aims to demonstrate that poetry in particular has the unique ability to offer people the experience of common understanding, empathy and acceptance which are all pillars of a healthy community and a healthy individual mindset alike
